Pine knob with dowl pin in celery top pine. Australian made. This even-grained wood will suit Kauri pine (a popular wood for turn of the century - 1800's furniture in Australia and New Zealand). The wood is soft and absorbs stain thirstily, so stain with caution! Alternative fixing, cut off dowel and screw from back. The shape is colonial country with wide skirt.
